SASS Wire Vet

SASS Wire Vet (1/1)

  1. Small tool which compresses and holds the loading gate spring allowing you to push the trigger/bolt pin in and out with ease during disassembly/reassembly.
  2. A bunch of small caliber lightened 66/73 carriers, '97 wire springs, ruger helper tool, possibly 8 lb. of sport pistol.
  3. The 45 receivers also have a cut out in bottom where bolt lower tab passes thru, 357 receivers don't.
  4. It's whatever you're comfortable with. I prefer the rhythm of single cocking. One of the fastest gunfighters around singles.
  5. I have milled a flat and installed a shotgun bead on some
  6. Beware of factory "competition ready" guns as they rarely are. The Winchester is way better out of the box, but the parts thing is a drawback. If you decide Winchester, call Cowboy Carty. Otherwise I eould advise buying a standard Uberti in barrel configuration you want and hand it to a cowboy smith and have it properly set up
  7. Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have give Big 6 some cash
  8. He lives in Paducah, Ky. If I see him tomorrow I will tell him to contact you
  9. I use my mill and mill vise and either 3/16 or 1/4 cratex.
  10. I do stainless mag tubes, but after searching high and low have never been able to find the correct size short of custom made($$$). The ones I do are slightly undersize and I fit them to the rifle.
  11. And the full length firing pin has a spring that pushes the firing pin forward to be in contact with the primer.
  12. The best tool I have seen was custom built with replacable carbide cutters. The tool was about $1500. I don't even mess with doing them anymore. I just take them to the man with the tool .
  13. Best I can do, not in the shop today. https://www.securefirearmproducts.com/Model_Details.php?modelno=11490-SR-D
