Hey Randy. Rootin Tootin here. I saw your post about a lever lock to help prevent jacking a live round. I'm planning on getting one but want to know with it installed how do you show clear at the unloading table with the lock installed without pulling the trigger? The only way I can see to do it is to pull the trigger and gradually lower the hammer and cycle it then.

To show clear at the ULT I have to close the lever, pull the trigger and open the lever again, then roll it over as usual to show the follower. You could pull the trigger as you ease the hammer down with your thumb if you wanted to but I just pull the trigger and let the hammer fall. The only time it is an issue is if after loading you lever a round into the chamber and then need to lower the hammer for some reason, you just have to be very careful. It has saved me from jacking out several rounds as I was pretty bad about it.
