  1. Ages ago I had a USPS package coming parcel post. Tracking said it was in Northboro, MA and stayed there for several days. I asked the post mistress why. She said they put it on a pallet, when the pallet was full or two weeks, whichever came first, it would arrive.
  2. There is a local farm stand that sells a huge variety of hot sauces. The top shelf of the cabinet has R-rated names and labels. And a curtain.
  3. True for some peppers, the seeds and pulp have most of the heat. Red peppers are generally ripe, so the seeds should be usable if the pepper is nor a hybrid. there are exceptions. for the sauce you can bet the hottest part of the pepper was used.

  6. A defendant was on trial for murder in Philadelphia. There was strong evidence indicating guilt, but there was no corpse. In the defense’s closing statement the lawyer, knowing that his client would probably be convicted, resorted to a trick. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have a surprise for you all," the lawyer said as he looked at his watch. "Within one minute, the person presumed dead in this case will walk into this courtroom." He looked toward the courtroom door. The jurors, somewhat stunned, all looked on eagerly. A minute passed. Nothing happened. Finally the lawyer said, "Actually, I made up the previous statement. But you all looked on with anticipation. I, therefore, put it to you that there is reasonable doubt in this case as to whether anyone was killed and insist that you return a verdict of not guilty." The jury, clearly confused, retired to deliberate. A few minutes later, the jury returned and pronounced a verdict of guilty. "But how?" inquired the lawyer. "You must have had some doubt; I saw all of you stare at the door." Answered the jury foreman: "Oh, we did look. But your client didn’t."
  7. A young comedian hasn’t been having much success. An older comedian tells him that there’s this gig at a long-term care facility he can get. He warns him that it’s not a great crowd—lot’s of Alzheimer’s. But he takes the gig. He’s very nervous, but his first joke goes over like gangbusters. He remembers that there’s lot’s of Alzheimer’s patients, so he tells the joke again. Everybody laughs even more. There’s a man at the back of the crowd, watching him. The comedian doesn’t see him so he goes on to tell the same joke over and over, for his entire set. People are cracking up. They love him. Finally, he goes to leave. The guy at the back stops him: Hey, I saw what you did and I have one question: How do you remember all those jokes?
  8. Twenty-five or thirty years ago, Tabasco had five flavors, new they have eleven. The latest is SCORPION rated at two million scovilles. not for me!
  9. Now if it said “Spell your name correctly….”

  11. Reports are that Baltimore is the largest port for imported cars and light trucks.
  12. Reports are that the ship issued a mayday before the collision.
  13. When you look at things, you don’t get any clues of depth because you don’t see their shadows. it’s like monocular vision.
  14. I saw what you translated))) and I thought where it said “use pastry flour” I thought it was because the translation program did not really know the differences among flours. Nobody that I’ve ever seen uses yeast with pastry flour.
  15. These days a $5 charge would be lenient.
  16. What I remember (?!?!?) of 000 flour is that it’s used in pastas and is hard to work. I don’t see 000 on line, 00 and 0000 but no 000. I’d use AP, not pastry flour.
  17. Story was that after a long struggle the roo got away.
  18. Putin needed something to blame on Russia’s enemies, even if FSB knew about it, he needed it to happen.
