Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Not quite five years ago I posted a link to a YouTube video - Jimmy DiResta rehabilitating a basket case '73, cambered in .22 Short: Link to Diresta thread This evening I stumbled upon another similar project - this one, a .38 WCF (.38-40), done by the Kinzler bros. Dunno if this has been posted before or not; I'd never seen this video, but found it to be as good as DiResta's. Enjoy!

Colorado Coffinmaker Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Went and found the '73 Vid on YouTube. From a retired Gunplumber standpoint, twas really interesting to see someone else do it (I did a couple). Fun Stuff!! Oh, found a "Getta Round" to the "Not a Bot" trap.
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted December 9, 2024 Author Posted December 9, 2024 Obviously the fella replaced all the screws. Wondering where he found them all - although the rear tang screw has the wrong size head, they look much nicer than the boogered up originals.
Warden Callaway Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I cringed when he started sand blasting. Stopped watching when he brought out the orbital sander on the wood. Under all the surface rust, the old gun looked in good shape and complete.
