I got six minutes into the first video before I realized they were not making super-thin skin for R/C airplanes or gliders....

When I went to school for Fine Woodworking, a part of the curriculum was to make several styles of functioning Hand Planes.  Lots of fun and then to actually use them professionally was just a treat.

I was also looking for something airborne ... but I was hooked inside of six seconds ... until it sunk through my thick skull De Plane was the woodshaving variety, my thoughts were "Now these fellows know how to take care of their tools!"

For those that didn't do the conversion 16 microns is 0.00062992 of an inch.

5 microns is 0.00019685 of an inch.

For reference a typical sheet of paper is .004" and a typical human hair is .001"

That's impressive.
