Insane how many people screw with trucks. 80,000 lbs of death and destruction. Brake checking one leads to some serious results.  If I see one with it signal on wanting over I'll slow down and let them in. If I pass I come back into their lane with a signal and plenty of distance between us. They're doing their job. They don't need our petty BS.

Hard, lonely,  body destroying job. Without it our republic would shut down in a week.

If you don't like the police, please don't ask for their help.  Others can use it.

Never said I didn't like the police. Just pointing out that cops can have crappy attitudes also. Whats interesting is the patrol cops depend on their leadership to keep them up to date on laws and court rulings. Then they come across a citizen who nows the law better and they find out the hard way the citizen is right.   $$$$$$$$ money being paid from lawsuits.

Is YouTube full of videos showing cops in a bad light? No. Its full of videos of cops who need more training and respect for the laws and rights in place.

When the federal AWB sunset back in '04 I was helping out at the local gun shop and talking with some cops about it.   One of the younger cops was all excited about it and was talking about buying a personal AR.  I asked him if his chief would authorize that, and did he realize that he would have to surrender it if he left the department.   "I don't have to worry about that anymore,  the ban is going away. "

"The FEDERAL ban is sunsetting. But our Roberti-Roos AWB still controls in California."   He refused to  believe me until his Sergeant joined us and told him that I was correct.

Does this mean you think cops should only help other cops or people that they decide deserve their help? Maybe that's where some of these attitudes about cops come from. On the other hand, maybe you're just showing your frustration about how all cops get lumped into this attitude. I don't deal with cops that often and always try to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they don't always make that easy to do.

Actually because I was never part of the "Back the Blue: culture of cops I have a more objective view when they abuse rights and have crappy attitudes.
