Seems I remember seeing a device that you screw into a light socket and then screw the bulb into the the sensor.  Can't find such a gizmo anywhere.

I have solar on-off light bulbs, but can't find anything similar unless I'm willing to buy an entire light fixture, which I'm not.  Suggestions?

I don't need light sensors.  I'm looking for a simple, screw in MOTION sensor.  I can't believe I'm the only person on this entire planet that wants one of these.

Amazon has a variety of these if you search “screw in motion sensor light socket”

Look at the reviews. None get super high ratings but I think you might find something that will work for you.

Is this what you're looking for? $20 at Lowes.

After a large search of every web site I could think and a dozen or so local stores I wandered into a little ACE Hardware store about six blocks away. They didn't have any in stock but they will call me Friday when they arrive.  Pay on receipt will set me back a whopping $34.00.

Sometimes things are so easy that they are embarrassing.

Thanks, folks.

I got two from Amazon and neither one fit my existing light sockets.  That why I want solar powered lights.

Lowes had a solar powered motion detector one  that looks like it will work.  Storming so I cant get it installed on my garage until  it clears up.

Got a simple solar floodlight for th front of the house.  It has white, red, yellow, and green colored lights.  Box says I can lock it on white but It doesn't tell me how.  I'll checkout the company's web site.

Dollar to a dog biscuit says you have to do it on a smartphone app.
