None of my reloading manuals have any 45-60 data. Can anyone suggest a reloading manual that has data? I would really appreciate a pointer to a good manual.

Either Lyman's 4th Edition Cast Bullet or the 48th thru 51st Editions of their Reloading Handbooks.

Did you get that loading from a book or just a work up?

It was kinda a work-down from 45-70. Some older books had Unique loads for 45-70.  14. 2 Unique for 45-70 is a fairly common load, I have an old Lyman book that shows it. And I’ve shot a bunch of them!  I kinda worked down from there when I got the 45-60.

I have a Original 76 and a Uberti both in 45-60.

I use 14 1/2 Grain of Trail Boss, if you can find it.

Also use 25 Grain of 5744. Both are accurate loads in both Rifles.

For Black Powder I use a  300 Gr,Rcbs Gas Checked Bullet 62 Gr,

of Swiss 1 1/2 also a good load.
