Chas B. Wolfson, SASS #11104 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Luke Air Force Base has four F35's flying to different locations in the celebration of our Independence Day. The four just flew right over our house. Flipping incredible. God Bless all our men in uniform and protect them from the evil present in the world. Saying thank you is no where not enough for what you do. Regards, Chas and Annie An old veteran proud of my service to my country.
Cypress Sun Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 The sound of 'freedom' around here is a bunch of fireworks. They think they're patriots, they're not, they're pyro's...but that's okay.
Chas B. Wolfson, SASS #11104 Posted July 5, 2024 Author Posted July 5, 2024 I turned 18 while going through basic. After Airborne training, 101, Ranger and Sniper, I ended up at Ft Lewis with the 9th. On the tarmac at McCord to perform mop up in SE Asia. Orders changed 20 minutes to take off. 32 hours later, halo over Central America. Spent eight years in South/Central America. 97 young men in my unit. With death in combat, fatal accidents, natural death and unfortunately suicide, only six of the original unit left. We have always been there to help one of our own out when necessary. Annie many a time was told I was flying out to help a brother in need. No questions asked. To this day, I remember every name, every face and keep in contact with every family. A brotherhood not broken even in death. Respectfully to all our heros in uniform, Chas B
