Thanks for the heads up.

Thought I might get a jug, but at $46 + tax per pound I just can't.  The 6 lbs. I have left in an 8 lb. jug and 2 unopened 1 lb. cans are going to have to do me.

IMR 4064 & 4895 at $67/lb. ?  :o

I guess you can tell I haven't bought powder in a loooooong time.

I thought that was a pretty good price. Natchez was asking $58.50 per pound + tax + hazmat + shipping last week and they sold out of it. I felt like that price was too high but seeing powders at $40+ per pound is currently the normal... a lot of rifle powders are going for $60+ per pound right now...

Myron,

Thanks for the heads up!  They still have Red Dot in 1 & 8 lb containers.  I missed the $5 shipping but signed up to receive texts and got free shipping on a $100 order.  Price works out to be just under $50/lb delivered (8lb) which cheaper than many similar powders available in today's market.  I spoke to my local dealer and he confirmed that Aliant has stopped production of all consumer packaged Alliant powders until further notice.  So if you use Alliant powders, he suggests buying while you can.

I don't forsee anything in today's market that would cause prices on components to go down anytime in the future.

Mine 8 pounder is due to be delivered Friday, and I have a good amount of my last 8 pounder left, so I'll be set for a long time on Red Dot, AND I just scored 3 unopened 1 lb cans of Accurate #2 locally, plus a partial that looks to be about 3/4 full, for a hundred bucks. :)

Now, if Midsouth only had an 8 pounder of Unique for the same deal as the Red Dot...
