Forty Rod SASS 3935
Yet another wonderful war movie, this one about the liberation of Cabanatuan POW camp in the Philipines. The action all takes place ove five days (January 27 to 31, 1945 by About 100 Army Rangers from the 6th Ranger Battalion, some 200 Filipino guerrillas and scouts and a few others which ended in an attack on the camp and freeing 211 POWS. one who died after being liberated. The Battalion Surgeon was also killed, but only two Rangers and 21 Guerrillas were fatally injured. 550 to 1000 Japanese were killed The movie starring Benjamin Bratt, James Francisco, and Connie Nielson was made in 2004 and claims to be a fairly accurate depiction of what is thought to be the most successful rescue raid in US military history. It's tear jerker and has a lot of scenes that will your anger nodule working over time.
