IAC Hawk

There is a gun in the shop labeled an IAC Hawk 97 style pump shotguns. I have an older IAC 97.  What is a “Hawk”.  Are they any good?

Picture please. The IAC Hawk was not a 97 hammered pump. It is possible that IAC has now put the Hawk monicker on 97’s clones now.

But I doubt some of the accuracy of the ad copy included on the page, saying that the magazine only holds 4 rounds!

 

It does indeed look like other IAC 97s as far as the low resolution photo can make it appear.  It is labeled as a "new" model, but I doubt that too.

Most likely the ad copy was lifted from something like an 870 clone (dual action bars and 4 mag capacity) to make the copy for this gun.   Trust almost nothing in ad copy on the Guns.com web site, this says to me.  They have no one checking the ad copy before it gets sent to the web site.

IAC is out of business.  If you click on the "Ad to Cart" button it comes up "THE LISTING IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR SALE."

There was a 97 IAC hawk 1897 repro that is long out of production. There is also a Chinese hawk type 97 shotgun patterned after the Remington 870.
