DIY plans for making cross-sticks shooting rest for long range shoots

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of any such woodworking plans?  I can easily enough figure out my own, I suppose, but I'll gladly skip that step if plans are out there already.

Thanks.

(The other option is to buy one from a SASS pard who no longer flings 500gr lead 500+ yards -- if that's you, let me know.)

Thanks for looking.

Plans? Some 1 1/4" hardwood dowels from the hardwood store, a bolt, a leather saddle, some screws to hang the saddle on to make it adjustable, and a couple spikes to stick in the ground. It ain't rocket surgery! Well, it can be, I guess, but mine aren't. ;)

Been using the same set of Cat’s sticks since 2011 or so. Still look great, work smoothly and show no signs of slowing down.
Although not a really big long range shooter his sticks let me perform to the best of my abilities. Highly recommended.
