I thought that Ft Drum was a Army reservation in way, way, way upstate NY? Like, you can throw a grenade into Canada distance from there.

There is a Ft. Drum in upstate NY, where the 10th Mountain Division is based.  It was named Ft. Drum in 1951, although an Army base had been there since 1908

It was CAMP Drum for a long time, then the 10th Mountain Division was moved in to train in cold weather and Camp Drum was reactivated as FORT Drum.
