Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 Just finished watching a movie named Battleship (apparently I missed it several years ago when I first came out) and found it acceptable for a nonsense evening's watching. The music stunk, but most music does these days.My major gripe is a blurb at the end stating that this movie was based on a game of the same name for Hasbro. HORSE CRAP!!! I was playing Battleship with my cousins at my Grandma's house in 1951, long before Hasbro was known outside of New Jersey. We used #2 pencils, rag paper, and Pink Pearl erasers. Hasbro, my cat's behind.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 I played it a lot more recently using pencil and paper.
J-BAR #18287 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 One record for each hit on each player’s fleet. Sinking Dad’s battleship was always fun!
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted August 13, 2022 Author Posted August 13, 2022 Those games don't buy microchips an assorted other crap if you're using paper and pencils.
