Widder, SASS #59054
Looking to buy a S&W model 69, short barrel. I don't want an early production model but rather the model with the newer style cylinder lockup device located in the crane are. I have an FFL but I prefer to buy locally in the E.TN area and not pay high shipping cost. Thanks ..........Widder

Dantankerous
Widder, You are talking about the new lightweight 44 magnum, correct? What are the differences between the early model production style and the newer or improved style crane you mentioned? A local dealer has a 4" model I handled today and it seemed very well designed and smooth. In single action the trigger was insanely crisp and light and beautiful.
