Early, early morning brought waves of heavy rain...steady rain now at 8:30 am. Hopes and prayers for a lull or soft mist to shoot waves in... Pat Riot Posted June 25, 2021 Share Posted June 25, 2021 When I lived in Oregon I loved the fact that Cowboys and Cowgirls never batted an eye when it was raining. The match proceeded forward if it wasn’t a full on storm. The first time I went to a rainy day match we were on stage 2 when it started raining. I started wrapping things up to leave and this Cowboy says to me “Pat, are you feeling okay?” I said “Yep, just getting ready for when they ‘Call the match” He smiled and said “Why would they do that?” I said “Rain?” motioning towards the sky. He laughed and said “Son, this is Oregon. If we don’t shoot in the rain, we don’t get to shoot some years. Those Guns’ll dry out and so will you. Just oil ‘em up real good, they’ll be okay. Come on.
