Okay...I just picked up the Uberti Stallions (Jr size) from Barb Wire. Champ had them, sold and that person had you work your magic on them...then they got to BW and now me. Question is this...the one gent shot 'short' .38's in them. They would not take my APP rounds at 1.51 (long, I know) Will changing up my rounds to seat at the groove (like normal folks) allow me to shoot APP rounds? I bought them so I can shoot duelist...but never having owned or used these, I am unsure if they will 'like' bp. See you in June. Shanley and I are making the journey! Sedalia Dave Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 My wife shoots those as well. The issue is not carbon build up as they are chambered in 38 special and not .357 magnum. Unless the previous owner was shoot 38 long or 38 Short cartridges with smokeless powder. BTW APP will remove any carbon build up left by smokeless ammo. because my wife started out shooting a 92 all our ammo is loaded to a 1.505 OAL. What I did to her pistols to solve the problem is ream the cylinder throats ever so slightly. Did them just enough so that my .38 Specials loaded to 1.505 OAL would drop in.
