SouthwestShooter Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Does anyone know if Remington is still making the managed recoil shells?
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I've seen stocks of Remington 12 gauge buckshot and slugs in Managed Recoil recently. Anyone having stocks of MR rifle ammo is probably clearing out old stock, as new MR rifle ammo production seems to have stopped. What ammo are you looking for? Rifle, shotgun lead pellets, something else?
Patagonia Pete Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I'm guessing ... but if you are looking for these 7/8oz 1100fps things ... I don't think you are going to find them anymore ... perhaps local stock somewhere. https://www.ableammo.com/catalog/remington-managed-recoil-target-load-rlsts1285-gauge-1100-fps-lead-shot-250-rdcase-p-91149.html ... but ... these Federals shuck from SxS's great ... have less recoil and are cheaper ... (buy 2 cases ... get 'em for $59.99 each and free shipping) .. 1oz 900fps. https://www.rogerssportinggoods.com/ammunition/federal-lead/estate-super-sport-target-20ga-2-3-4-shot-size-7-5-1.html If that wasn't what you were looking for ... never mind ...
Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 a bit off track: this is one reason I went to reloading my shotshells. I can lower the recoil so my twice cut rotator cuff can handle the recoil. as others will say: probably not worth it costwise but keeps me in the game with lower strain on shoulder
