But ask them to add the same tax to their outdoor toys and listen to them scream.  IIRC several; years ago is was called the backpack tax and the tree huggers heads did explode when it was proposed.

Just like these limp-wristed self entitled D-bags here in Portland. They want parks and bicycle lanes and no more infrastructure unless it suits their needs and they want everyone else to pay for it.
