Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Back in either '67 or '68 I took the train from Lancaster to Oakland and watched as the train crossed over itself on the loop!! Was then Southern Pacific. Wikipedia says Union Pacific bars it to passenger traffic, except the Coast Starlight, which uses the line as a detour if its normal route is closed. Guest Hoss Carpenter, SASS Life 7843
Been under it several times when a train was passing over itself. Really a cool RR spot to see. I had a friend in Riverside who had an huge HO RR and modeled it to a "T"; very cool. Hoss
