Aunt Jen Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 The stunning actress / lead in http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1655441/also starring Kathy Baker and Harrison Ford. The most enchanting romantic drama I've seem in years. In the dictionary under Great Movies. It says Harrison Ford. But I didn't know Blake Lively. I DO NOW. She played the part with subtlety, hitting every mark. She reminded me of Jessica Chastain, such a natural. I do recommend this film.
Aunt Jen Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 I never saw that show. But I believe we will see a lot more of her in movies in the future. She is great.
Dusty Balz, SASS#46599 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I have no idea other then her parents have a house down the mountain from me and I was out riding and she likes my horse , oh yeah her brother lives up here ( rusty from European vacation)

Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Who cares? Quite a few of us, evidently. I'll be trying to catch the film this weekend. Brings to mind "The Man from Earth..."
Anvil Al #59168 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Have only seen her in a few movies. Green Lantern and Savages. She was good in both. Has some unattractive things about her. But they all seen to work for her.
Aunt Jen Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Quite a few of us, evidently. I'll be trying to catch the film this weekend. Brings to mind Yes, and Very Big WOW! I love that film! Wonderful. I did think of it---What the h#%@ is wrong w her? Not wanting to live forever? But what I loved in it was how she fell in love, how she needed connection but was afraid to give in to it.
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Wait! Say no more, Jen... I haven't seen it yet! But I DID see "The Man from Earth..." That was a mind tweaker.
Aunt Jen Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Okay. Bring along an extra fifty dollars for popcorn---that stuff is so expensive.
Bugs Bonney SASS # 10171 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Well now that we know who Blake Lively is, Who is John Gault?
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Okay. Bring along an extra fifty dollars for popcorn---that stuff is so expensive. Boy, is it ever! But I will smuggle in a bag o' M&M's to sprinkle on the popcorn. Yum!! For some dumb reason the local theaters now only sell peanut M&M's... just ain't the same.
Aunt Jen Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 You mean a baggie of Doritos and another baggie of chocolate?
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 You mean a baggie of Doritos and another baggie of chocolate? To be followed by a bottle of Pepto Bismol...?

The movie thread I'd about good acting, an actress who reminded me of Jesssica Chsstain, also starring Harrison Ford. The sensetive movie is about a woman who is afraid to fall in love, and who falls in live anyway.
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Well... Saw the movie! Thoroughly enjoyed it! So... Was it a simple story based on an old concept...? Yep. Could it be torn apart on technical grounds...? Yep. Do I care...? Nope. Was it fun and entertaining...? Oh HECK yeah! Would I recommend it...? Absolutely. And yes, the M&M's were smuggled in and liberally sprinkled into the popcorn. Yum! (And yeah, it's a chick flick. So?? )
