Waimea
I have some parts guns (handguns) that have useable parts. So what can I ship via USPS without using an FFL? These are 2 Harrington & Richardsons and an Iver Johnson. All three are lemon squeezer variety. If that makes any difference. I'd be hard pressed to find a serial number on any of them. Thanks for your kind replies. Waimea
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Local city laws do vary. I would call the local BATFE office, or your states dept of Justice. OLG
Dusty Morningwood
I think that the receiver is the only part of any firearm that is regulated. The rest are just "parts" that anyone can order and have shipped directly to them.
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
The receiver/frame is the controlled part per BATFE rules. That is "a firearm". All the other parts are "not a firearm." All the IJ top break revolvers I've handled have had a serial number, commonly at the bottom of the grip frame, or on the side of the grip frame where the number is covered by the installed grip. Deep polishing of the frame at some time during it's history can of course destroy serial numbers. good luck, GJ
