watching a tv show... Forever... not a bad little diversion. Not great, but ok... when this Detective Lt., is giving a pep talk to a jr. detective and tells her about the time she was confronted on the street by a perp who drew down on her.... Did she freeze, nope... "SHE SHOT HIM IN THE LEG, JUST LIKE SHE'D BEEN TRAINED TO DO".... Aw jeepers!! Somebody's been sipping the Koolaid again!

I'd like a nickel for each time I've seen a bad guy point his piece at a cop and the cop just points back and says, "Drop it!"

This usually leads to a standoff and maybe a chase and/or fistfight where everybody loses their guns.

All this while I holler, "Pull the dang trigger idiot! "

Oy.

Never ceases to amaze me that TV bad guys pull their guns and just stand there pointing them at the good guys, and then want to have a chat where they reveal their entire crime history, future plans, etc... and then allow themselves to be subdued so the heros can save the day or put closure to the crime.

I know that tv has got to be highly detrimental to LEO's blood pressure much less civilians.

The original Hawaii 5-0 was a great blood pressure test. Each week we would sit around the cop shop and discuss the stupid things that happened on that weeks episode. The one that got the most bad mouthing was the famous "Book 'em Danno" Hey Jack, you made the arrest, are taking the credit, you can do the work too. "Book'em Danno my a$$ do your job Jack".
