With hundreds of armed government agents and citizens facing each other down in a situation that was degrading by the hour, the government had to know all it would take is one small spark to ignite a conflict of proportions not seen since the Civil War. - See more at: http://www.thebangswitch.com/americans-back-government-down/#sthash.ISQcCNvb.dpuf

Kind of interesting how the feds backed down on 12 April, the 153rd anniversary of Lincoln's attempt to reprovision and in crease the manpower at Ft. Sumter.

I will reiterate what I said in my post to the Assault Weapon Rebellion thread. When patriot/citizens show up armed ready and willing to fight for their constitutional "Bill of Rights" the government WILL back down because they know the consequences if they don't. I just heard yesterday that there is an estimated 310 million guns owned by the private citizens of this country. When Yamamoto was asked why Japan did not invade the mainland after defeating our navy at Pearl Harbor he said, "there would be a gun behind every blade of grass".

Yamamoto NEVER said that nonsense. It came from the movie, Tora-Tora-Tora.

OK. Whether he said it or didn't say it, or someone else said it, or it was just a "line" in a movie the fact remains there are estimated to be 310 million guns owned by private citizens in this country. The Feds don't dare to start another civil war.

yup - there is no way that Japan could have ever supported a mainland invasion - the logistics wasn't anything that Japan wanted to handle anyway. I would also think that armed citizens isn't what Japan wanted to deal with either.
