John Boy
... you will be surprised and wonder how they ever properly loaded your reloads! I think you get the picture - they will need cleaning. Good probability removing rust too
Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862
Nope, no rust. But a lot of lube in the seating die. It's good to keep an eye out for potential problems.
Box Herder, SASS 73857
No rust also just a little lube again- Welcome back Jack more smoke!
Virgil Ray Hality, SASS# 37355
no problem here... I actually clean my dies almost every time I use them. The worst problem I have is on the sizing die which tends to accumulate brass particles and then starts scoring the sides of the shells. So, I polish it out and get going again. Mike Fink, SASS #29047
Like Mad Dog Jack, have to clean the Seating die once in awhile. Check the others on occasion for a wipe down. No Rust. Regards, MF
Fingers McGee
No rust here. Just a little lube buildup (ok - a lot) in the seating die. Din't even get any rust in the L-N-L dispenser/drop tube or powder through expander. Fingers (Show Me MO smoke) McGee

John Two Feathers, SASS #58400
Ran into the rust issue a couple of days ago for the first time. Not on the dies, on the brass. Wipe the brass across a rag soaked with Ballistol (careful not to get any inside the case). That said, I guess I need to go and clean up my dies. J-BAR #18287
I'm using Dillon dies in a Dillon press. The excess lube gets extruded out the top of the die. When an inch or so is sticking out, I pinch it off and put it back in the crockpot I use to lube more BP bullets. I clean the dies about once a year, just because I am obsessive about cleanliness. I monitor seating depth and crimping pretty closely, but so far, no problems. And no rust.
