Rye Miles #13621 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 A pard had a question about the handling of a 1911 in WB. Can you shoot 4 rounds, drop mag, insert new mag and continue shooting? This way you do not have to rack the slide forward for the second mag. I told him no but I'm just checking with the experts! Rye
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 No, that would be a "tactical reload". All mag loading must be done with the slide locked back. Good luck, GJ
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 All reloads shall be from slide lock, no “tactical reloads.” You may not reload the pistol with a round in the chamber. Reloads done safely after malfunctions are allowed. (Failure to do so, MSV) -Wild Bunch Handbook, Page 6 http://sassnet.com/Downloads/RO/SASSWBHandbook_OCTOBER_2010_final.pdf
