The Potato Kid SASS #40823
On many of the web sites that sell the one-piece replacement ejector for the 1894 Marlin it says “Gunsmith installation required.” Also, some of the web sites say to be used only for the 1895 Marlin, not the 1894. Inquiring minds would like to know what to purchase for my 1894 Marlin. Thanks

As for the ejector and spring I never had a problem getting that from Marlin or if it was restricted from getting??????????????? The old model 94 ejector spring (long type) I have purchased these from Numrich in New York. Give us info and we'll try to help. The Potato Kid SASS #40823
Good questions, Marlin is a 1894 Cowboy Limited in .45 long colt. I was looking at the one-piece aftermarket ejectors sold at Cabelas and Brownells, but guess I could just get the original replacement two-piece part. The Potato Kid SASS #40823
Not firing pin, Ejector, like in xxx-proof sold by brownells or Cabellas. Says it improves ejection.

The original ejector has a flat spring pressed in, I've not seen a need to improve this piece. Tension is easily adjusted, and it can be polished to reduce the bump you feel when closing the action. There might be better ways to spend money on your Marlin. CR
JD Trampas, SASS # 55781
If you are talking about the Wild West ejector, the part that goes in the side of frame is to big, that is why they say gunsmith installed, if this is what you are talking about, I'm happy with the stock one from marlin myself All for now JD Trampas

JD Trampas, SASS # 55781
No problem, glad I could help you, from what I have heard they are for the 1895, but can be used in the 1894, I just can't see it myself, each to their own All for now JD Trampas

Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
The Wild West ejector is what they call "Bear proof" and is designed to make the gun function reliably even if coated in ice, etc. It is strong like bull, ugly like tractor It would not be suitable for CAS use as it is a VERY heavy "bump" when the bolt rides over it. Get ya a regular Marlin ejector.

Widder, SASS #59054
Did you get that carrier yet? Rick: not yet. probably take a couple days. that carrier will free me to set up my 24" Cowboy into a Widdermatic. Its the ONLY carrier I've yet to modify. I'll holler back at ya when I get it. Many thanks. ..........Widder
Huckleberry
The one piece ejector works great with the rifle cartridges for hunting, like the 38-55 and 45-70 Marlins. The stock part works better with pistol cal.s as you can slightly tweek the spring steel spring to tune the drag and ejection.
