Deja Vous
It brings back memories of a loved one I lost very early in life. I miss his laugh to this day and I am so happy he was once in my life ... man was I lucky to know him even if it was such a short time.. So, this song makes me happy.. cuz the good parts of my life with him were so good, the bad parts of losing him went pretty fast.. So I got to save the good parts I guess.. here it is, what some call the ghost in my life.. course vince Gills voice would sound good on anything.. He could sing, and play... so it just fits I guess.. I know your life On earth was troubled And only you could know the pain You weren't afraid to face the devil You were no stranger to the rain Go rest high on that mountain ‘Cause, Son, your work on earth is done Go to Heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and the Son Oh, how we cried the day you left us And gathered round your grave to grieve Wish I could see the angels’ faces When they hear your sweet voice sing Go rest high on that mountain ‘Cause, Son, your work on earth is done Go to Heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and the Son Instrumental Go rest high on that mountain ‘Cause, Son, your work on earth is done Go to Heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and the Son Tag: Go to Heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and the Son

Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
Rye, you are in for a treat. Not only is it a beautiful song in its own right, its one of the most popular songs at funeral services in this part of the world.

Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
Yep Noz. It wasn't played at my brothers but it kept ringing in my head. It and Dolly Partons "I will always love you" exemplify great talent and melodies you don't forget.
Willie Wheelgun
The one they played at my late wife's memorial service was "I can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. Next to that selection would be Vince Gill's memorial to his brother. Both make my eyes leak big time.
