WymoreWrangler SASS 46187L Posted November 29, 2010 Share Posted November 29, 2010 I was just sitting down to read my latest edition of GOTOW, and on page 67 under the review of the Cimarron Holy Smoker, Mike Beliveau stated Paul Newman carried a Spencer, I remember it being a half magazine lever Winchester and I looked up the trailer and it's a Winchester, not a Spencer... I haven't seen the movie for many years, but, due to your post, I just ordered it so I can confirm the rifle (not that I doubt you...just a good excuse to get the movie ) So, other than that...how was the article? I have the collection of Elmore Leonard short stories at home (was actually a short story rather than a novel) but haven't read that part yet. Will have to start it tonight.
