  1. McDonalds and Burger King? McDonald's and Burger King?
  2. I remember how that works, Smoke. When the Seahawks were in the AFC Broncos and Raders were our worst enemy. Still am not fond of either. I tend to hold a grudge.
  3. DANG IT, JOE! Now I am going to have to get out the cookie sheet and some vanilla and sugar and flour and eggs and butter and milk, and well you know the drill.
  4. I feel companionship here. Fishing gear. I have so many rods and reels that I could start a warehouse outlet. I still look for more though I doubt that I really need them. Fly tying material. Got boxes of the stuff. Hardly ever get the vise out anymore because I have to look through all the stuff to find what I want to tie with. AND I WANT A NEW NORVISE FOR CHRISTMAS. (I have been a good boy, Santa, really, I have!)
  5. WOOL is best. Keeps it's warmth in cold, wet or dry.
  6. They keep playing like they have been, they will. 0 for 13 games
  7. By my reckoning, it is 110 days from today for PLAY BALL. IZ THE TRIBE GONNA DO IT THIS NEXT YEAR?
  8. I am Badger and I just got all kinds of hankerings for all kind of things. So, I just go with the flow and let the chips fall where they may, mostly on my lap. Lemme see, chips with dip, fried thangs, sweet thangs, like apple or cherry pie, or Pecan pie, or .. well you get the idea. Chocolate is not real high on my list, but I do like a Snickers once in a while and then there is pineapple upside down cake, fruit cake, heck I even like PBJ sammishes. So perhaps you can see why I just don't fight it anymore.
  9. Well...now I know what the weather is in Green Bay. Oh well, Army won yesterday and Arizona lost today so not too much harm.
  10. What language is that KK? In keeping with the season and Backwater's wishes to keep it up top: MERRY CHRISTMAS
  11. Wonder what it is like in Green Bay, weather wise? Sunny and balmy, I suppose.
  12. Snow is gone, rain is back. BUT, the good news is that we can expect more tomorrow........ above 1500 feet elevation. Badger plantation sits at just under 500 feet elevation.
  13. Well, look at it this way, Bob. You could be a Browns fan, and ARMY did beat navy yesterday! So it is not all bad, and the Broncos are just at the half, got another two quarters to go. AND your team is not playing at Lambo field in the snow today, much like the Seahawks are. I have my sympathy for those guys.
  14. Great game, great score. LOL, bet nobody there was considering taking a knee at the Anthem. I really enjoyed the singing today.
  15. Well, when it snows, it apparently snows big in Cleveland.
  16. J Bar, most of the better vices run close to the $300.00. I have toyed with the idea of buying one. My forty year old Price Vice has just about seen it's lifetime use. Jaws are worn and do not grip well. The old Thompson B vise I gave my Grandson was like a tank. I don't think he uses it tho. I think I paid $30.00 for it when St. Peter was a fisherman. I did buy his bobbins. They work ok, but are sort of a novelty. My old bobbins do just as well.
  17. I had never heard of the pattern. Living in the Pacific Northwet, I guess a fly named after the Ozarks is not well known here. Seems when you get into marabou and flash just about anything goes. Steelhead colors seem to run to red, pink and black. I suspect that the fish take the red and pink for eggs. I have no idea what the black could represent. Just something to eat I suppose.
  18. Your description is so very graphic and true, Bob.
  19. HAHAHAHAHA! Good guy +1/bad guy -1. Great story
  20. Maybe my 5 wt will work on those small Big Mouths over at Lost Lake.
  21. Well, there is always the warm cocoa and hot cereal, and a clear window to look at the snow. I believe those snowy riverbanks are a thing in ole BMC past. Old bones do not like ice cold water.
  22. Those darn bass are mean suckers. All my fly rods are designed for trout, and I have concerns about fishing for bass with them. All but my 8 wt. It is 9'6" generation II graphite, and I use it for steelhead. For Bass, I would think a fiberglass rod would be a better bet. Am I wrong, again?
  23. Rye, nothing like fishing in the snow. Try it, you will like it. Some of those big steelhead they catch in Ohio are just the ticket.
  24. They also have LUTEFISK. No Thanks.
