  1. I just received mine last week after a 4 month wait! I haven't shot them yet, but other than the heavy trigger pull, which can be easily resolved, I'm very impressed with everything on these pistols, including the price, and I've shot Ubertis, Piettas, ROAs, and Vaqueros for years. I'm hoping to shoot them this weekend, but I know I'll soon be dreading the decision before each match, whether to shoot my stainless Ruger Vaqueros, short-stroked, with brass sights ($900 + $500 + $75 = $1,475 each) or these new Pietta GW Competition Series ($901 each)? Either way, I'll have a fantastic pair of backup pistols that will be just as good as the main match pair. Of course I'll have to gather some spare parts (leaf springs) for the Piettas, something one rarely needs for Rugers. Also, I love my Bling, so I had to swap the black plastic grips for a set of pewter grips! Dusty Sometimes Baton Rouge, LA.
  2. Texican Slim, not consecutive but close. The serial numbers are about 50 digits apart. Thanks for your plug! Dusty Sometimes
  3. For sale, $1,400: Pair of Pietta Great Western Deluxe Alchimista III in .38/.357. The pistols have octagonal barrels, the larger 1860 Army handgrips, lowered hammer spurs, with beautiful laser engraving on both the blue and steel portions of each gun. They are not short stroked but the lowered hammer spurs make them comfortable to shoot. The only blemish is one minor dent on one of the wooden grips that’s not noticeable. These pistols were purchased 3-4 years ago, shot in 2 matches only then put on display ever since. Currently these list for $901/each from EMF. For sale for $700 each, $1,400 total and I’ll pay shipping costs to your FFL, for this set of pistols which need no tuning or modifications. Private message me if interested. Dusty Sometimes
  4. Thanks for posting this, I was searching for instructions last week. Quick question on versions. There seems to be two current versions, 1.2.1 and 1.2.6. I'm an Android user and can only get 1.2.1. Is 1.2.1 for Droid users and 1.2.6 for Apple users? Thanks, Dusty
  5. My first EoT too and just got my confirmation! I'm #12 and can't wait. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in ABQ. Very excited to see the sights, and to shoot too!
  6. Sincerest prayers for a speedy recovery and return to the shooting line, for a true Cowboy. DS
  7. 6 months ago I wasn't a whiskey drinker but this past summer I toured the Jameson factory and Guiness Brewhouse in Dublin, Ireland while on an assignment. At the end of the tour, they give you a complimentary Jameson drink with ginger ale. I'm hooked and most nights before bed I enjoy my Jameson & ginger ale as I wind down.
  8. I bought me a pretty SKB that's smooth as butter! Mele Kalikimaka!
  9. I love my full buckhorn sight on my rifle. Coupled with a big brass front sight, I have it sighed in so that all I have to do is quickly put the target inside the buckhorn and pull the trigger.
