In AZ, we have these red ants whose bite is worse than a bee sting! (Ask me how I know). About 100+ bites have enough venom(?) to kill a 150 lb man so the victim would die long before being eaten by them.

Over the past few years while on walks with Custer, we have encountered numerous rabbit carcasses with just the head missing. What predator would just take the head and leave the rest of the rabbit untouched? Around here we have: Hawks Owls Foxes Coyotes Bobcats Mountain Lions Feral Cats Martens or weasels Jealous Rabbits? My neighbor found only a rabbit head one time.

As stated above, it's yours so do as you want. However, I do have some long barreled 97's and an 87 and have no desire to cut them. I like them as they are as well as some long barreled rifles that I use.
