  1. I don't remember the brand name, (not inscribed in the boot) the soles are marked as Propet (accent over the E)...
  2. Still cleaning out "the cave" and came across these... FS: 2 Pair of Ruger Grips for Ruger New Vaquero revolvers and Flat-top Blackhawks. 30.00 per pair (for one gun) includes shipping or 55.00 for both pair (for two guns) includes shipping Thanks ~Duc~
  3. Still cleaning out my closets and "the cave"... FS: Leather Boots, all leather uppers, wear resistant soles, size 13 D (medium). Built roomy enough to fit feet and orthotic devices. 65.00 includes shipping to CONUS 48, anywhere else slightly higher. Thanks
  4. Westworld this past season where the girl fires the 7-1/2" barreled SAA like a double-action, repeatedly. Or, when a revolver is fired and you can hear empty cases hitting the ground. Or, "The Strain" where the old man fires his J-Frame 11 times! It used to bug me that they couldn't get simple things right, but now it entertains me, turning a schmaltzy TV drama into a comedy as I laugh and try to catch all the errors. What the heck, fun is where you find it!
  5. Wow, you got a long trip! I only have a 2-1/2 hr drive to get mine! Piedmont Triad International Airport North Carolina Address: 1000 Ted Johnson Pkwy, Greensboro, NC 27409, United States Code: GSO Elevation: 282 m Phone: +1-678-809-5519, Hours: 6:00 am – 10:00 pm Hi I am Eric Leonard, Head of inspection unit, United Nations Inspection Agency, Piedmont Triad International Airport NC, USA During our investigation, I discovered an abandoned shipment through a Diplomat from United Kingdom which was transferred from Northwest Florida Beaches Airport to our facility here in North Carolina. When scanned it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in 2 metal trunk boxes weighing approximately 65kg each. The consignment was abandoned because the content was not properly declared by the consignee as money rather it was declared as personal effect/classified document to either avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent or confiscation by the relevant authorities. The diplomat’s inability to pay for non-inspection fees among other things are the reason why the consignment is delayed and abandoned. Fortunately, my assessment revealed that each of the boxes contains about $4M or more. They are still left in the airport storage facility till today. The Consignments like I said are two metal trunk boxes weighing about 65kg each (Internal dimension: W61 x H156 x D73 (cm) effective capacity: 680 L) Approximately. The details of the consignment including your email on the official document from United Nations’ office in London where the shipment was tagged as personal effects/classified document is still available with us. As it stands now, you have to reconfirm your full name, Phone Number, full address so I can cross-check and see if it corresponds with the one on the official documents. It is now left to you to decide if you still need the consignment or allow us repatriate it back to UK (place of origin) as we were instructed. Like I did say again, the shipper abandoned it and ran away most importantly because he gave a false declaration, he could not pay for the yellow tag, he could not secure a valid non inspection document(s), etc. I am ready to assist you in any way I can for you to get back this packages provided you will also give me something out of it (financial gratification). You can either come in person, or you engage the services of a secure shipping/delivery Company/agent that will provide the necessary security that is required to deliver the package to your doorstep or the destination of your choice as you personally will bear the charges, I need the entire guarantee that I can get from you before I can get involved in this project. Remember to re-send your full name, contact address and your private telephone number. Looking forward to your soonest response. Regards, Mr. Eric Leonard United Nations Inspection Agency Piedmont Triad International Airport NC Text or call for immediate procedure: Phone: +1-678-809-5519
  6. I know that some of y'all have put Navy Grips on you 1860's. So, does anyone have an Army Grip Frame they want to part with? I need a Backstrap, Trigger Guard, and Grips for a Pietta 1860 Army. If you have these, let me know how much you want for 'em! Thanks ~Duc~
  7. Howdy, I have a favorite Euroarms 1860, that I'd like to find a match for. I know it's a "shot in the dark"... but here's a picture of what i have that I'm trying to match: If you have such that you'd care to part with, gimme a hollar. Thanks ~Duc~
  8. Look on the left side of the gun frame. The older model Vaquero simply says "Ruger Vaquero". The smaller, newer framed model says "Ruger New Vaquero".
  9. Secession: there is nothing new in this. Folks in Alaska have been trying to do this since the 1990's, CA since about 2010, FL since about 2014, GA 2009, HI, NH since 2001, Oregon since last year, SC since 2010, TX since forever, VT since 2003... there are regional secession movement, county secession movements, cities that want to secede from states...on and on... As long as there are people there will be other people that want nothing to do with them. Disagreement, even violent disagreements are as old as Cain and Able. How many of us have wanted at one time or another to secede from our own families?
  10. I just got a lowball offer on an item I was selling on an auction site. Offered me half of my posted price. When I countered him with my "rock-bottom" price, he countered back with 10.00 above half price. That didn't even deserve an answer. I'm ignoring the guy now.
  11. Welcome!! Please go visit a match first. Introduce yourselves to the friendly folks there. You'll have to fend off folks trying to give you information and offering you insights into the different guns and equipment. Handle the different rifles and shotguns before you go buying. The BFR has a 5-chamber cylinder. I don't remember it having a firing pin rest between chambers. Therefore, since we require you to start with the hammer down on an empty chamber, you'd only be able to load 4. Which means you'd have to load one "on the clock" every stage. This might cause you and your wife some frustration as you progress. I don't know where you are, but if you're anywhere in the Carolinas, you're not far from a match!
  12. I've bought and sold items too numerous to recall. Never had a problem with a Classified buyer or a seller. Never had a problem with member's personal check. Only problem I ever had was with a vendor who's not with us any longer... but, that's not the Classified Wire, so that doesn't count. Maybe it's because we only buy and sell among SASS members, and we have shooting pards that we hold ourselves accountable to. If we want a bigger venue to buy and sell, we all know where to look, but for Cowboy stuff, I'm very comfortable with the SASS Classified Wire. (by the way, I post lots of pictures of my stuff, and it's really easy).
  13. Howdy Deacon, I can't read it in the pictures (old eyes). What manufacturer made the pistols? Thanks, ~Duc~
  14. Beautiful Colt, good price, and you don't have to wait 2 years for the Custom Shop to build one. Somebody buy this!!
  15. Changing the cylinder on the clock is do-able, keeping the barrel downrange... but you'd have to cap the cylinder on the clock. If you don't care about time and just want to do it for fun. Cool. Watch where your front hand goes when firing, keep it back to your shooting hand. The blast from the cylinder gap will sear your arm... plus if you do happen to have a chain fire... well, that could leave a mark.
  16. Sounds like my experience with Remington "1858"s. That fun moment while the palm of your hand is being branded and you pause in your shooting string long enough to maintain your coolth before pressing on!
  17. Before I knew any better, I used to pinch caps to keep them from coming off of stock nipples during recoil. Then years ago I discovered correct replacement nipples and proper fitting caps. Haven't pinched caps in the last decade or so... I don't see why anyone would want to load percussion caps on their cylinders off the gun. It's a pretty simple affair to stick them on properly at the loading table. I use my fingers instead of a capper, (personal preference), and if they need seating, seat them with the eraser of my trusty number 2 unsharpened pencil.
  18. When buying commercially reloaded ammo, there are 2 prices. 1st price is when you buy the initial order... figure 31.99 a box of 50... then there is the 2nd, less expensive price when you send them back the brass and have them reload it...16.00 for that same box of 50 So, you're reloaded ammo gets cheaper after the initial purchase. 19. I think this is the last pair of larger size I have left. Never got around to shortening them.
  20. well new to me... "In A Valley of Violence" (2016) It hits just about every western cliche, but Ethan Hawke and John Travolta look like that had fun doin' it, just chewin' up the screen. It has the feel of a Spaghetti Western. Interesting assortment of guns, just a few Colt Peacemakers, not a single '92 or '94 in sight! Good to see that we've had a long string of Westerns the past couple of years. Keep 'em comin'! https://youtu.be/nFD4f1_eZno https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/in_a_valley_of_violence/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3608930/
