Did you actually mean the original recording, which was probably around 1880, or did you mean the original playing, which was 1829?

One of the best scenes in the movie. In my opinion. The train is going south, to Florida where they're going to get on a boat to Cuba. Every town they go through there's a crowd of people waving flags and playing martial music and just shouting hooray. And they're going through some little town in the south, and there's this little boy-kid with an old man. The kid says, "They's wearin' blue, Grandpa. Is they Yankees?" Old man says, "They's Americans."

I suppose I am. That thing with the big wheels that they drive over the asphalt to flatten it - that's a steamroller. I'm sure it hasn't been steam powered for close to a hundred years, but it's a steamroller. Just like that woman over there with the badge in the gun and the handcuffs - she's a policeman. IT Takes Two

Oh hell. First, back when I worked construction, a whole lot of people wore their hat like that. Some reversed the suspension harness, so it sat on their head correctly while the hat was turned around, but some just put their hat on backwards. If I had realized that was a hard hat I wouldn't have seen anything wrong with it. And second, I didn't realize that was the back strap and the tightener of a hard hat. I thought it was the bill of whatever stupid baseball-cap-thing he had on.
