Many did though, it sounds like the recruiter didn’t even try! He had an address didn’t he? He could have gone there or sent someone. I’m just saying that was a lazy recruiter. Proof is he later was discharged when they found out his age. How did they find out his age?

I would think some form of ID should have been asked for or at least a call to his parents. It’s not rocket science🙄 Everyone had birth certificates!
