I have a question for some of the women of CAS so if you’re in here or if your wife or anyone is able to help I’d appreciate it. I got some friends that are new to the costuming of this fun sport. Anyway I’m not familiar with the female side of Victorian clothing so if you could point me the right direction I’d appreciate it. I can expand more in dms if that works for yall

If the person you’re asking for sews, I recommend these websites for patterns:

Truly Victorian – Sewing Patterns of the Victorian Era

Buckaroo Bobbins

if they don’t sew, Etsy has some custom costumes. Look for Victorian or Steampunk outfits.

@One Miss Lefty I’ve also seen some outfits on Amazon that would work for shooting.

@Aspen Filly 50535 Has made some amazing Victorian costumes but I’m not sure if she’s taking orders right now. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Xrjazq9z3/?mibextid=wwXIfr

You can also create costumes from outfits found at thrift stores.

There is a ladies Facebook group

I’ve also got two threads on here showing many examples of Women’s dress outfits and shooting outfits they can look at.

I bought this  Skirt in the coffee color off Amazon before my first match and it is still my most worn skirt to date. It's lightweight, and goes with everything. You can actually see me wearing it in my thumbnail.  Amazon also has some good Victorian ballgowns that are not 100% period correct, but close enough and in a decent price range for a first banquet dress.

Go on eBay and search "frontier classics women" or "recollections dress" and you could probably find some good stuff second hand.

If you are doing eBay searches, be specific what you are looking for.

I searched once for Western Antiques and got a ton of results for Western Africa artifacts.

Use "american west" or "american old west" or similar terms to narrow your results.
