watab kid
a show that was based on the portrait of doruan gray , a gut that has lived for a long time - was in shermans army staff , knew galileo , its all absurd but fun to speculate , reminded me of the early librarian movie with [kate beckett] stana katic actress , she was a vampire thatr had lived through a lot of eras , guy not aging over all the decades , then shot by an ex that finaly ends his life , seems to me to say a lot of our lives , we live we die , hopefully we leave a small mark thats worth remembering by someone

Maybe a year or so by family and friends, but even those memories will fade away.

While I know that I'll never be famous or even well known, I like to think that my "legacy" will be that my daughter, and maybe other people I've known along the way, will do Good Things, however big or small, because of my influence. That will be good enough for me.

Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
I remember my grandparents well, having been well into adulthood when they died. I have a few 'snapshot' memories of three great-grandparents, who died in the 1950s. I've read that, barring fame, we are remembered for at most about 3 generations; 75 years or maybe a bit more. Then no living memory at all. A friend recently told me of a young relative in his family, 14 years old, who was then dying of cancer. Though the boy had become calm about approaching death, his biggest anxiety was that he would be forgotten. I think the desire to be remembered, logical or not, is pretty universal.
