From the American Single Shot Rifle Association site forum post (I am not John)

John,
When 2020 hit and we went from caught up with a 95% in-stock rate to over 4 years backlogged,  backorders dictate what we run now.  Many of these slower sellers we have not run in a few years due to the backlog on popular calibers.

Unfortunately, even though we are catching up finally,  the slower sellers like the 50-70 and 50-90 are still going to be a bit before we can get to them; it is not likely it will happen in 2024.  The line they run on is still one of our busiest and we have a lot of backlog to get through on it before we can get to these.

Sorry for the shortages, we don't like these problems anymore than you do.  We won't let up until the backlog is cleared however.

Thank you,

Sherry

I've had 50-90 Sharps 2 1/2 on back order for almost 2 years. :(

Better check your dates. You are at the 2.5 year point, May 22. I only know because I ordered my 50-70 on Nov of 22 after one of our talks. Next month will be two years for me on 50-70.

Don't count on starline, cowboy and bpcr shooter are not even on their radar. Seek remedy elsewhere my friends. For 50-70,on a suggestion, I got some of the magtech 32g shotgun brass, seems like they will work with some cutting, fire forming and a good bit of effort. Working on that. I can try to see if they would work for 50-90( I need them too)
