Got our Guide today.  143 pages.  Doesn't touch on the county and local issues.  The text of the propositions takes up about 120 pages.

 

To me the kicker is the back cover:

 

 

A MONTH!  A whole freakin' MONTH  to vote.   Can walk into a polling place and register on the spot. But we'll still have people whine and moan that it's too hard to vote, or to register to vote,  and that they don't have time to vote. 

 

OK, I give you that wading through that much mind-numbing legislative doubletalk is less than pleasant and must be done in small chunks.  But it's not hard, just tedious.

You should come to Texas.  Here in the county where I live, it takes considerable effort just to find out what is on the ballot so you can research the issues.

Completely different process down here as when you're 18 till you croak its mandatory to vote.

  ..... yep, voting is not just your civic duty, it (like gravity) is the LAW!
