Father Kit Cool Gun Garth Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Trail camera captures one-of-a-kind footage of elusive species: 'What a magnificent creature'
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 I'm old enough to remember when, not very often and only for the patient, they were more common, from the Great Lakes west to the borders in Montana and Idaho. I haven't seen any in the wild in almost 60 years. The common bobcats were , and still are, much more prevalent to the point of being dangerous nuisances, even in populated areas...such as the port for the Goodyear Blimps right up the interstate highway within a scant mile of LAX. and inside the Navy Weapons Station at Seal Beach. They are still very common in my own yard and the surrounding area.
Eyesa Horg Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 We get Bobcats in the yard here too. Pretty cool kitties.

Pat Riot Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Thank you, Father Kit. Lynx are beautiful creatures that I have never seen in the wild. I have seen quite a few Bobcats and a few Cougars. Never a Lynx.
