Blind Squirrel
I'm trying to find a lighter main spring. If such a thing does not exist commercially, I would like to find a replacement spring and try to modify it. Thanks.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
The 51s use the same mainspring as a Single Action Army. Because of some variations between models the spring may have to be fitted.

Lead Monger
Wolff also produces a nice reduced power flat spring for the bolt/trigger. It is a good alternative to their wire spring that is often too light for comfort.
Colorado Coffinmaker
A couple of suggestions for ya. My Go-To Main Spring for setting up "anything" has ben the "Lee's Gunsmithing Gunfighter" spring kit. Available from Brownells and I think Long Hunter also carries it. Pietta recently introduced a nice reduce main spring. Should be available from VTI, EMF or Cimarron. The Wolff Main Spring is also OK (not the best).
