Subdeacon Joe
52 minutes ago, Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619 said: Where? Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. The parish is Protection of the Holy Virgin, founded in 1936. St. Seraphim church was founded in 1996 because the original church (still in use) was way too small. Here is a good review of the Iconographic Program.
watab kid
one assignment in college involved cathedrals - i chose chartress , its an interesting study , not so much the layout - they are all similar , more the structural and décor , also the artwork ,
Subdeacon Joe
Getting ready for some plastering. Unlike Fr. Patrick who frescoes on wet plaster, the guy who will do the pendentives works on dry plaster. So things got moved and covered. Scaffolding will go up, and for 2 weeks people will be doing the plastering. We're being farmed out either to the little church or to other parishes for a few weeks.
