How many of you either have a fax machine in your home or have faxing capabilities on your computer?

I can't tell you how many businesses we have dealt with that have either requested we fax documents to them, or if we requested same, they want to fax to us. I thought fax machines went the way of the and !

To comply with HIPA regulations a FAX is the only electronic method you can use to send documents. 

 

Faxes are considered secure point to point transmissions. 

 

Emails are not point to point transmissions as a copy of the email exists on each server used to get it from point A to point B.

My former employer had a FAX machine integral with the printer. As a matter of FAX,, so do I. Though personally I've only used my FAX machine once.

My printer has FAX built in, but needs a landline phone to work. Not worth the bother for the once every 5 years I happen to need a FAX.

Hardware store will fax anything I need for a quarter a sheet.

Does just fine for renewing my nursing license.

My last printer had fax capability, until it quit printing.

Now it's sleeping in the basement ... somewhere ...
