Not the coveted JM stamp, but a good shooter. Has one piece firing pin, straight trigger and safety delete. Internals have been polished up a bit. Switching over to .44-40 for BP, so thinning out the .45's. My wife shot this for the last 2 years as her main match rifle, so there is normal wear and tear. But, in my experience from handling a few of the Remington made 1894's in .45 Colt, they were good rifles. I actually own one. I can't say that about Remington made .38/.357 calibers, but the .45's seem to turn out better and function well. If I didn't already own one of them, I would buy this one because the price is right. And this rifle and caliber make a good all around rifle for CAS and hunting hog, dear, etc.....
