DeaconKC
The fifty year conflict between Canada and Denmark over the ownership of Hans Island has ended. They arbitrarily designated a narrow rift in the rock as the border and ended the 'war' on Jun 11th. A war that consisted of changing the flag flying over the island, and leaving a bottle of booze for the other side when they came to change the flag back. This is a war that I shall miss. Utah Bob #35998
Sad. But all glory must fade. It was a brilliant campaign.
Alpo
You left out the important piece of information. When Canada went to change the flag, did they take down a Danish flag and put up a Canadian flag (this is OUR Island), or did they take down the Canadian flag and put up the Danish flag (we keep telling you guys this is YOUR Island)? All you said was they changed the flag - not which way they changed it.
