Buckshot Bear
A mate of mine picked up a new Canik TP9 SFX (2nd gen) 9mm and put a red dot sight on it. Bloody nice pistol for the AUD $900 price tag!

Cypress Sun
They absolutely have the best and smoothest trigger pull of any striker fired pistol that I have ever shot. Extremely accurate too. I suggest that your friend by as many factory mags as he can get. You can't find the factory 18 or 20 round mags anywhere in the US right now and I won't buy the Pro Mag crap. If the dealer that he bought it from has barrels for it, I suggest getting one of those also just for the future. I've yet to see a malfunction or failure to feed and I've thrown everything 9mm in it, just to see if it would. Eats it all, like an alligator on a chicken farm. Your friend will enjoy it for many years to come. Congrats.
Patagonia Pete
Mags might be hard to find right now ... but you just need to put yourself on a few "alert" lists. A few weeks ago ... Midway had 18 and 20 round mags (factory) for sale. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1020887624?pid=677022 I needed one more ... picked it up as soon as the email alert came in. I then alerted the Canik forum and the mags lasted for another week before going out of stock (and that is saying a lot because a lot of people have been waiting for these things to surface). I got mine for $460 US (TP9SFX) the end of last year in order to have a 9mm gun to shoot USPSA ... Steel .. etc etc ... because ... you can get pretty reasonable 9mm smmo online w/o having to worry about pulling the handle on the Dillon. https://www.ammobuy.com/ammo/handgun This thing is so easy to shoot ... Best "out of the box" gun I have ever purchased.

Patagonia Pete
+1 I just got another email alert myself (need to turn that off I guess) ... noticed they have 18s and 20s. again. Glad to see that problem (no mags) might be going away for good. FWIW I noticed these (Canik) mags work just fine in my Taurus G3c ... (hang out the bottom a bit but ... "what the hey" ... ).
