Brazos John Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I just discovered the advantage of my apparent "genius" decision. Like others, I ended my land line years ago, once the whole family got cell phones. I took the land line number for my cell number, so no loss of solicitor calls (or friends). Today, my cell phone service (T-mobile) went out, and I can't call to report it. However, my internet service is with ATT, and it still works. So, my (unintended) genius decision was to use different providers for phone and internet, so that if one goes down, the other should still work. This is probably an old idea to lots of folks, but if not, I hope you find it useful. Signed, An old dog learning new tricks.

Well, it comes to the house on cable, and is distributed through the house as wireless. As for the phone, my Wife said to turn it off and back on. Now it works. Another new trick learned by the Old Dog!
