levi littleton Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Bushings? Consecutive numbers? Production date? Fired or unfired?
Roanoke Rifleman, SASS #30256 Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Don’t know about bushings or production dates. They are not consecutive serial numbers. They were purchased on GB seperatley. One was listed at time as unturned new. The other listed as fired very little. After sending off to Jim Martin for action job I shot them twice, around 200 rounds.
July Smith Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 For those that don't know Jim Martin is considered on of the best Colt smiths out there. There is an acknowledgment to him in the Kuhnhausen shop manual. His work alone adds a lot to the value of the guns to a shooter.
Dutch Nichols, SASS #6461 Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 If the serial number is greater than 30K, ie S31xxxA it will have a remove able cylinder bushing. If you shot them and cleaned them what they are asking is if the cylinder had a remove able bushing inside the cylinder that the cylinder pin goes thru. Early 3rd gens had a fixed bushing like a Ruger. Hope this helps?
Roanoke Rifleman, SASS #30256 Posted February 26, 2021 Author Posted February 26, 2021 Thanks for that information. Yes they do have removable bushings.
