Look Out Louisiana/Texas Gulf Coast....Hurricane Laura

Cypress Sun

Recommended Posts

Laura is expected to come ashore as a Cat 4 hurricane with 145 mph winds and 12' to 15' storm surge on the East side of the storm. It's moving quite quickly NW @ 16 mph and is currently approximately 200 miles offshore. If you are on the coastal border near the state line of TX/LA and are not in a high, dry and secure location....please take warning and evacuate inland. This is not a "hurricane party" event.

Now officially a Cat 4 storm.  "Unsurvivable storm surge" could reach up to 30 miles inland.

Please get out if you haven't already done so.

Just waiting for the MSN to report it as "Laura" Bush's fault!

Listening to the Hurricane Watch Net on ham radio.

You can hear this on shortwave receivers also.

20 meter band (upper sideband) at 14.325

40 meter band (lower sideband) at 7.268

These are boots on the ground reports, relayed via ham radio net.
